STOCK EXCHANGE ARCADE
The Assay room forms part of the Stock Exchange, a grand masonry building on the main street of Charters Towers. It was built as The Royal Arcade in 1888. The Stock Exchange occupied the building in 1890. The Assay room is at the rear and contains items associated with mining history.

_______________________________________________________________ZARA CLARK MUSEUM (CHARTERS TOWERS MUSEUM)
The Charters Towers Museum (c.1883) is housed in a late nineteenth century commercial building. Gold was discovered in 1871 and production peaked in 1889 to make Charters Towers home to one of Australia’s richest goldfields. The museum contains items pertaining to the history of Charters Towers. The large collection includes transport vehicles, documents and domestic items.

Mount Isa Tent House is a timber framed house with a canvas roof under a free standing galvanised iron roof. This unusual environmental adaption was once common in Mount Isa as 1930′s Mining company housing. The Tent House contains furnishings and objects of historical interest from Mount Isa.
